i'm playing it over and over again...

i was walking home from the office a couple of days ago when i decided to buy delta goodrem's cd --- mistaken identity. i saw it a few weeks back in tower records atc and so eventhough it was out of the way, i went to tower records glorietta expecting to see it there. imagine my dismay when i couldn't find her cd! i decided to try my luck at music one in glorietta and there it was!

i've listened to the whole album a few times already and here are my early favorites:

be strong --- the first few lines just caught my attention. i've felt that way for so many times, i lost count already. i could simply relate to the song altogether.

"...are you swimming upstream in oceans of blue? do you feel like you're sinking?... no, you're not defeated and soon you'll be smiling once again... know that you're allowed to cry..."

last night on earth --- i think that love songs are delta's forte because you could really hear the emotion in her voice. this song cements that idea. the song gave me goosebumps the first time i heard it.

"... it's never enough no matter how many times i tried to tell, to tell you this is love... if tomorrow never comes i want you to know right now that i, i'm gonna love you until the day i die. if tomorrow falls asleep, can you hold me first? i'm gonna love you like it's the last night on earth..."

almost here --- this duet of delta goodrem and brian mcfadden is just great, their voices complement each other really well. when i heard the lyrics of the song, i had to stop myself from crying.

"...shadows bleeding through the light where the love once shined so bright came without a reason... but when i need you, you're almost here and i know that's not enough. and when i'm with you, i'm close to tears 'cause you're only almost here..."

i'm encouraging everyone to buy her cd, both innocent eyes and mistaken identity. you're missing a lot if you don't.
